Sam is rite, Leave it blank , USCIS will check the system and fill it. I have seen few cases in this forum where applicant wrote a A# and when they received the receipt it was different, SO leave blank there is no harm.

You don't HAVE an A# yet - it is the number you get on your greencard

I did not realize this before and even my attorney did not tell me anything about this. what is the requiremnet for passport to apply I485? same time my application was mailed today afternoon in registered post. If there is slight chance of rejecting I want to call back my application and applying with new passport. what you guys think about this?

I sent my EAD extension documents on 7/9 via FedEx to Nebraska. They recvd it on 7/11 morning and got signature proof. Can you please let me know how many days it take for the check to be encashed? This will be helpful. Thanks!!
For private courier (non usps deliveries) there is different address please see in the Instruction on completing I-765 form on USCIS website.

Can anyone confirm that only Driver License is required for this cruise? NCL told me so, but I�d like to hear from someone who already sailed. Also, do you have to go through Customs or Immigration upon returning? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I second it :) NO SSN REQUIRED FOR PP. I filled out 000-00-0000 for my son. I believe there was a site or document I looked up and got this info (dont remember where I found it).
You dont need a PIO. If it is emergency or you dont have time, just get a multiple entry visa. For kids at that age it does not make any difference whether they enter on PIO or a visa. Chicago issues visa the same day.
BTW does Indian consulate do background check and issue 221(g) :D:D
PS: I live in IL as well and you dont need SSN for kids to get a PP :)

Hmm, that's what I found weird also, how could it be both pre-adjudicated and under review ?! She did say pre-adjudicated at the past tense and my last LUD was 3/2/09, even if we went for fingerprinting the second time on 3/9/09 (no LUD after).

I also exactly same cris email as legal_A_IN_limbo yesterday. My employer revoked my H1B.
Do not go by wordings of this message. I have not heard any message that says that previously approved H1B is revoked. I think, this is standard message that indicates that H1B has been revoked.

I spoke to the US mission- they dont have information yet about the process change for people who want to take appointments after 1st of Sept.
However people who have already taken appointments prior to Sept 1 are not subject to any change. They need to show up with a reciept the day of the interview as before.

There is no fees for bringing foreign exchange into India. It is applicable to all passengers irrespective of their nationality or purpose of visit to India. However no import of Indian money is allowed by non resident Indians / foreign nationals. Indian residents can bring in up to Rs. 7.500.

If his fiance is in the US, then it's easy. Just do a court marriage; get the marriage certificate and file for I485.
If his fiance is abroad then he can make a trip; get married and take her back to US and file. Remember, all the applicants need to be present in the US to file AoS.
If she does not have a visa to come to the US; then just wait...
I dont think it makes sense to file now; get married and re-file again. It's also risky just to some extent if his application is approved before ge get married.
Also, just a friendly suggeston:
Ask him to join IV :)

For case where GC and H1b sponsoring employer is same, please tell (as per USCIS rules/guidelines):
1. When switching from H1b to EAD (while working for GC sponsoring employer) does GC/H1b sponsoring employer have to cancel H1b ?
2. If on AP/EAD WITHOUT work, is there any liability to GC/H1b sponsoring employer ? Does he have to cancel H1b ?

even care! Its seems like, they think, somebody else will take care of this
Its bound to happen. Everyone thinks others will do it, and they dont care(dont want to make any efforts) even though they really want GCs from their inside. Howver we will still find some people who care for this cause and will join the group. so its worth trying.

billa went to Texas A and M for his Mechanical Engineering and then moved into a lucrative job at a world famous oil company in Houston. His company has offered him a permanant job and offered to do his Green Card. But they don't know he will be leaving his job to go to Dubai because of Green Card logjam and uncertaainity that prevails.
Lets help to keep Billa and Ranga in the US. Lets all go to the rally

Sorry dude, I couldn't give you a green though I wanted to because some people gave me a red for speaking the truth and now I need to have some more reputation to give you a green again.
The processing time is different for different cases depending on the time it takes for background processing and all that. I think that is why sometimes we see an earlier case getting processed ahead of a later case, but I just cannot think of a reason why the processing of a 2002 case got delayed.
