I live in the Denver-Colorado Area and myself and lot of my other friends went to the USCIS office at 8AM on a saturday, one before the schduled appointment
They made us wait for about 30 minutes extra, till they could finish the current filers
After that we were called and had our fingerprinting done
I would suggest, go there over the weekend and get it done with

no, will not move our pd. their very few nurses have pd's in previous years. you may be optimist but not because eb3 pd category will move. you will see for yourself.

I did a lot of research and found very little information on an established process of "firing" one's attorney and moving to self-represent the I485 application. Most resources talk about submitting a new G-28 form from a new attorney. What if I don't want an attorney to represent me anymore? is there a form for that?

Hi everyone,
I have a related question. I am a canadian citizen now and am still maintaining an H1b. My H1b stamp had expired in 2007 though.
I had applied for AP in january but its still pending at NSC.
Now I have to go to India for my brother's marriage.
My question to you all is-Since I am still on H1B (and If am not wrong, canadian citizens do not require H1B stamps)-- will it be ok if I travel without an AP.

1. I would like to believe that all visa numbers include the dependents etc .. since USCIS has the numbers.
2. At the same time .. maybe 245i is kicking in .. else the priority dates would be different
The only thing I'm not clear about is this:
Is 245i only affecting eb3 and not eb2?
And also from the answers it looks like, inspite of uscis making the numbers public .. it doesn't help us make a prediction

I called 1-800-375-5283 (press 1-2-2-6-2-2-1 at the prompts) Today.

I applied I-485 in July 2007. But didn't apply for EAD/AP. I applied for EAD for the first time now, few days back and I was asked by my lawyer a check of $340 as application fee.

I did pay $340 as I had applied in March 2008...now I am up for renewal...so I was hoping that I dont hace to pay any money since I had applied my first EAD with the new fee structure..
do you think you have to pay $340 when you are up for renewal next year?

For me I will select "YES" to "Are you applying for same visa class that expired in the last 12 months?" but what should I select for my daughter (she 2 yrs old)?
In VISA renewal criteria it says "First time H4 or L2 applicants under 18 years of age." do not qualify for appointment in this renewal category?
This statement has confused me to whether to go for "YES" or "NO"?

Other alternative is to have your employer run the payroll for 5000 and deduct 500 from your adjusted gross income when you file taxes.

I got my FP done today. I received the FP notice around 12th Sep. My receipt date is 4th Sep. Case is in Tx.
Appointment time was 2PM. We reached 15mins early. The time does not matter. Long line to check and accept the form. Then we were issued numbers and asked to wait for the numbers. For the amount of people waiting for FP, they did a good and fast job. Mostly young kids and they were fast.
Did FP and took Picture of self and wife and we were done. It took a little over 1 hour. I carried my passport but showd Drivers licence and that was all that was needed. Hope this helps.
