I cannot find the status online or on the phone. I get the same message. They don't give info to the beneficiary. So attorney called and after spending 30 mins on the phone they were able to locate my I140. He said that once they put it online they will sent an email. This was few weeks ago and still nothing happened. But my employer received a letter from Nebraska stating that attorney or someone called to find the status of the I140 and that it will take some days(I don't remember the exact number as I know that it will take much longer than what they specified) to process this case.
There are so many people who are in this situation.

I am confused. I have I 140 approval copy but it does not have A# in it. I know lots of people who have approved I 140 and they have A# in it. Please let me know what should I do in this case?

$1.5 Billion in income taxes, is the amount the 64,000 new H1bs pay every year and I assume a similar or larger sales tax.
I'm not even thinking of the remaining 500,000+ people in the immigration queue

BTW, I did called the USCIS Service Center (If you can call it that), and customer rep. basically he readed it the same document back to me.
When I asked him what he meant, he said, "Your case has been approved and we sent you the approval letter."
Oh well. I have no option but to wait and see what they sent me.
I'll believe it when I see it!

U.S. Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada, the Democratic floor leader, said last week he was getting ready to lead the Senate back into the politically risky waters of immigration.
At the end of his remarks before an Asian-American and Pacific Islander Summit in D.C., Reid said, �Finally, we will again pursue comprehensive immigration reform that respects both our nation�s laws and the people from all nations who want to live in America, work hard and pay their fair share of taxes. And it is critical that we bring families together by cutting down on the long waits for prospective immigrants trying to join their immediate family members in the United States. I am committed to reforming our system in a way that is tough, fair and practical.�
He was immediately faced with skepticism and outright hostility. Though the senator was vague on details, one website promptly posted the headline, �Why Does Reid Want to Ram Immigration Amnesty Through Senate?�
More seriously, GOP Sen. * The DOL authorities confirmed in San Antonio in June that the data entries were about to be completed by the end of June and mailing out of all the 45-day letters might also be completed by middle or within July 2006. The authorities also confirmed that traditional regular labor certification applicants would start receiving the recruitment instructions with their prevailing wage determination to accelerate the recruitment process beginning from later part of July 2006.
* For a while, the employers received en masse the 45-day letters in the mail, but lately it has slowed down for unknown reasons. Sources indicate that the initial schedule has been somewhat pushed off. However, the DOL website still promises that they will eliminate all the backlog cases in 14 months. The period of 14 months may be a long time for the immigrants but a short time for the agency to eliminate tons of complicated labor certification applications. This is particularly true in that as the elimination program approaches the end of the rope, the morale of the temporary workers that manage, operate, and process applications is expected to drop substantially.
* The late slow-down of the pace of processing of the backlog applications raises a misgiving that unless the agency works out a special procedure or device, they may not be able to reach the goal.. There are still tons of traditional applications that await a time-consuming supervised recruitment process and adjudication including audits. The c6nsumers want to see some speed-up action before we approach the year-end holiday season and work slow-downs.

All,
I got a couple of emails from USCIS yesterday stating that they have sent notices requesting additional evidence/information on our I-485 applications. My priority date is October 2006 (EB3) and I am not sure why I would get a RFE now. Has anybody with a similar priority date get a RFE too?
I will let you guys know what was requested in the RFE as soon as I get it.
RFE can be issued even though your priority date is not current. This is because USCIS is processing the case and keeping it ready (pre-adjudicate) to issue GC when dates get current.

I had similar RFE where USCIS wanted doctor's original signature.
Doctor's filled out a new form (latest version) with all the information from the old form.No test were done again.But they signed the new form with OLD date.
Did your doctor sign the form with new date?
Also,are you including the old original form that you received in sealed envelope with RFE?I am include the ONLY the new sealed envelope that has latest form as the doctor discarded the old form.
I did not receive old form. I just received the gold color form and the letter stating whats RFE about. I guess since only partial information is missing, they did not send me back the old form. I have not received the new forms from doctor yet. I will get it today. I guess he is going to sign with today's date only. Hope this answers your questions.

Sadly Immigration voice is giving importance to the � number of posts� rather than �number of valuable posts� .
Some people are more interested to upgrade in their title by putting more number of comments, which will have no information.
I request every one to understand that these are just somebody thoughts/comments some time they may be correct and some times
they are just garbage.

What I am trying to say is if the attorney prefers Ac-21 filing without waiting for RFE, while I may want to wait for RFE if i am sure sponsoring employer wont withdraw 140, whose word will prevail?
